Raleigh Radiology Launches PocketHealth, Providing Fast and Easy Image Sharing for Patients and Providers  

RALEIGH, NC, May 23, 2023 – Raleigh Radiology, the most technologically advanced radiology practice in the Triangle, has announced the launch of PocketHealth, a patient-driven diagnostic image sharing platform, at its more than eight locations. The platform gives patients and providers fast, easy and secure online access to diagnostic imaging and reports, eliminates the reliance on CD-ROMs, and enables patients to take a more active role in their healthcare journey. 

With PocketHealth, Raleigh Radiology patients can:

• Permanently access, store and share medical imaging records and reports (including X-ray, MRI, ultrasound, mammography, CT scans and other specialties) securely and efficiently.
• Obtain greater understanding and insights into their healthcare with PocketHealth Report Reader, a tool that defines complex medical terms found in radiology reports to help make informed decisions about health.

The benefits of the partnership also extend to referring physician communities and will enable more efficient image sharing at Raleigh Radiology:

• Referring physicians and other healthcare providers will receive electronic access to view their patients’ imaging instantly for quicker diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Physicians will no longer need to log into portals or create accounts to access imaging records while also reducing the risk of missed or delayed appointments due to lost or corrupt CDs will be reduced.
• Raleigh Radiology will no longer rely on CDs or network portals, making the entire process more efficient and streamlined, with some exceptions.
