Texas’ Physicians Premier ER Gives Patients Instant, Online Access to their Imaging Data

Texas-based Physicians Premier ER, a leading group of freestanding emergency rooms with locations in Corpus Christi, Austin, Bryan, Houston and San Antonio, has selected PocketHealth to provide their patients with instant, online access to their medical imaging exams.

For Physicians Premier ER, the decision to integrate with the cloud platform was about continuing to innovate on its mission to provide immediate, patient centered care, especially in critical care scenarios.

Since the platform’s launch in February 2019, Physicians Premier ER patients have been able to securely provide signed consent for record release, verify their identities and access their diagnostic imaging, saving time after appointments when patients would typically wait for a CD.

Once patients receive access, their imaging history is stored permanently in their account for future access and secured with strong encryption and account controls. If they wish to share with their specialist or another healthcare facility, they can share their diagnostic-quality (DICOM) imaging via email, fax, printing off a page with a secure link, or even burning their own CD directly from their account.

Meanwhile, their physicians can view the imaging shared with them using a powerful, FDA-certified viewer right from their web browser, without any software required.
