The Globe and Mail speaks to PocketHealth about $45M Series B Funding

Rishi and Harsh Nayyar spoke to the Globe and Mail’s Sean Silcoff, who wrote about PocketHealth’s $45M CAD ($33M USD) Series B funding round, led by Round13 Capital with participation from Deloitte Ventures and Samsung Next.

Rishi said,“When you do a lot more for the patient you grow your total addressable audience. Instead of just giving patients access to the thing that sparked their care journey, we’re helping them understand what’s happening and continuing with them.”

Round13 Managing Partner Brahm Klar was quoted saying the investment “was the culmination of a year-long process to find the best Canadian health care technology opportunity.” The Globe cited this latest round of funding makes PocketHealth an exception during what has been a challenging time for the tech sector since late 2021, as many funders exacted tougher terms from startups that needed fresh funding. With this funding, PocketHealth plans to grow its footprint across the US and Canada and invest in its product and engineering teams to build new platform functions.
