PocketHealth Expands In Texas With Guadalupe Regional Medical Center (GRMC)

GRMC launches PocketHealth for patients and providers

Guadalupe Regional Medical Center (GRMC) Provides Digital Diagnostic Image Sharing via PocketHealth, Eliminates Reliance on CD-ROMs

Guadalupe Regional Medical Center (GRMC) – the only non-profit, city/county-owned hospital in Texas, today announced the launch of PocketHealth, further improving access to healthcare for more than 30,000 residents living in Seguin and surrounding communities.

Patients across the region are now able to quickly and securely access, store and share their diagnostic images and reports via PocketHealth. This eliminates the need for travel to GRMC to pick-up or share medical imaging on a CD-ROM. For healthcare providers, PocketHealth also saves time and resources by removing complicated network barriers and complex workflows.

PocketHealth builds on patients’ existing access to their electronic health records (EHRs) by sharing scans in full diagnostic quality and tools and resources to help them understand their reports. With PocketHealth’s Report Reader, all imaging reports will now include definitions of complex medical terms, giving patients a better understanding of their results so they can have more informed discussions with their referring physicians.

The platform seamlessly integrates within existing GRMC infrastructure, and allows providers and referring physicians to instantly view or retrieve prior patient imaging, or import images locally without additional software or account setup.

“The healthcare industry is transforming to meet the needs of its patients and employees, and we’re thrilled to keep adding to the services GRMC provides to our patients and our highly skilled physicians,” said Jubelee Davis, Executive Director of Imaging Services at Guadalupe Regional Medical Center. “By incorporating PocketHealth we’re ensuring the health system operates better, faster, and more efficiently and allows us to connect to a patient’s imaging with other healthcare sites, on any network.”

“Access to diagnostic imaging through PocketHealth gives patients more control over their healthcare information and whom they choose to share it with, no matter their proximity to the hospital,” said Rishi Nayyar, co-founder and CEO, PocketHealth. “We look forward to working with GRMC as they continue to improve patient and referring physician experiences by eliminating network barriers.”
