From CDs to agentic AI: PocketHealth’s story in The Globe and Mail

When our Co-Founder and CTO, Harsh Nayyar, received his MRI images on a CD in 2014, he and our Co-Founder and CEO, Rishi Nayyar, set out to modernize how patients access their imaging. Speaking with Leah Golob for The Globe and Mail, they share how PocketHealth has since reached more than three million patients at more than 900 sites across Canada and the United States, giving patients the confidence to advocate for themselves in their care.

Now, we’re entering our next chapter with agentic AI. Dr. Andrew Pinto, a physician and director of Upstream Lab at MAP Centre for Urban Health Solutions, St. Michael’s Hospital, points to fragmentation as one of the biggest problems facing Canada’s health care system. Speaking about PocketHealth, he says, “They are bringing a new perspective to a very old problem and they are showing us what technology can do.” Our agentic operations platform automates work across the entire non-clinical journey, no matter which channel or system the work starts in.
